  • I had a very good day today. Productive discussion, interesting lecture (and movie!), and I turned what was a really gross cookie into a fun time for self-reflection (it involved feeding squirrels... at a safe distance of 5 feet... and walking into the Valley Life Sciences Building to visit the giant T-Rex). On my way back I decided to buy flowers. They're for my mom. But since I can't give them to her, I decided to post them here. I think I'll hang them to dry and put them on my wall :) Yay.

Oh, and if you didn't know, I cut my hair (Mom, it grew! lol)

They're really very pretty and my sloppy pictures don't do them any justice.

So, I'm really happy. There you go. Anyway, only in a college town can you get amazing things for dirt cheap because everyone knows your poor (and then get 10% off that because you're a student!). So here's to more happy days!

  • OK! So I'm really excited about all the cool things that happened today :)

I went to the gym (I only burned like 500 calories, but it's a start!) and even did crunches ;) and I had to walk the like 5 blocks to get there and I've been walking like ALL day today!

Ate breakfast from the fridge (ok, so it was a banana! But I'm excited that I'm "cooking" for myself)

Rode the SUBWAY!!! AAh. Actually, it's a lot nicer than the subway (BART!). So, I feel better now about public transportation :)

Went to San Fransisco. w00t! It was really exciting. We went shopping for warm clothes and heavy jackets. So I now have a *real* jacket to wear in the cold. ~excited~

Avoided bums. One of them sang "Material Girl" when I walked by! Then he asked for my change?! I was like "uh no!" and then he pulled out a ciggy and started smoking. Oh, and another bum had two little orange cats sleeping on the top of his cart! They had little harnesses tied to his cart. It was sad. I hate when hobos have pets.

Found all my classes (I tell you, I've done waaaay too much walking today).

Bought some notebooks... first day tomorrow!!!

So, I'm happy. And tired. I don't think I'll have a hard time falling asleep tonight! Ooh ooh. I need to pick out my "back to school" outfit! teehee. You have no idea how much I love going back to school :) ~loser vibes start wafting through the internet~ Uh. That's not good.

  • Gave in!

[I'm wondering] Where are the cute boys at Berkeley (if the girls are "dogs" the guys are the mud the dogs walk on...)
[I miss] everyone in SoCal!!!!! come save me :)
[I want] to be cuddled with
[I have] no sense of subtlety
    [I hate] fake people
[I fear] that I won't get over this melancholy
    [I play] it by ear
    [I hear] Cole Porter music
    [I care] about stupid people I shouldn't
[I smile] at my new room
[I wonder] if I can make it after all
[I love] the thought of love
[I mess] up my hair (it's cut)
[I ache] for approval from dumb people
[I think] too much. (soooooooooooooo true!!)
    [I always] get left disappointed.

    [I am] an enigma

[I dance] when I feel incredibly silly
    [I sing] to be seen!
[I cry] on the inside (aah! EMO)
[I talk] to myself. (me too Ben!)
[I wish] I could just have uncomplicated flings
[I keep] a distance from my new floormates
[I am not] your science experiment
[I can] take care of myself
[I can't] let you hurt me
[I write], but you can't see it
    [I win] rarely
    [I lose] pretty often
    [I smell] like roses
    [I confuse] my own fairies!
[I need] to be a new person.
[I should] not fill out retarded self-centered online surveys. w00t!

Dorming! Pics anyone? Ok, my room looks super cool (so I've been told) and the pictures don't do it justice. Here they are anyway!

my bed and some stuff on the walls (the posters aren't as crinkly as they look)

The other side of the room w/ my fridge, and where I keep Hagrid the Snitch (he's the keeper of the keys! He's hanging with the big keys. He's a small piggy keychain!) and you can see my new haircut (it's sooo short!).

Harry Potter! I've made sooo many friends with these posters, teehee.

My roommate, Zara's side. We match well :)

My veiw! You can see the bay when it's not foggy. Yay golden gate.

OK, you can IM me to talk. I'm lonely and lacking lovin' but I'm having fun anyway. oh gosh! "Wind Beneath My Wings" just came on my iTunes... ~cries~

  • So the time has finally arrived. Redlands Theatre Festival closes tonight and this is my last weekend at home. I thought that when the time came I'd be more ready and prepared. But it seems like I'll leave with so many things left behind and unsaid. Please don't misunderstand, I'm more excited than anything to leave for college (I mean, my high school existance has been just waiting for this moment), but I never thought I'd feel so disconnected.

The past 3 weeks or so have seen the best moments that summer vacations are made of. I'm so happy to have gotten to spend so much time with Lizzy, Holly, Rachel, and Connie doing random stuff that I should have been doing all summer. It's going to be really weird to go up and realize that I don't have that kind of connection with anyone else, and probably won't. But thanks for putting up with my asinine, silly, stupidness and "squeeee" (for lack of a better word to describe myself). You guys are my best friends, and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you all (yeah, I know...).

Redlands Theatre Festival has been both wonderful and horrible. I met and became wonderful friends with Ashlyn and Jessica, but I also realized how two-faced some people were. I'll never forget Disneyland fun (which, after we get our passes, there WILL be more of!) and pretending to booze out on Jam Night (with root beer, joy juice, that grass soda, and Casey's weird apple cider soda!). We had fun at the Concession Stand, or putting on make-up and lamenting over the day's disasters, or just sitting around onstage watching pre-show activities. I'll really miss everyone I've become friends with at RTF, but I certainly won't miss the drama (most of which was completely unnecessary!). But, I think a road trip up to see me is quite necessary :)

I'm leaving on Monday. And the events of this summer have certainly changed who I am. I know the world will keep on turning when I'm gone (and hopefully my cat won't forget who I am), but I hope when I leave, I don't leave you all as friends. Thank you for everything, each and every one. I might be really lonely, so I hope you all know that my cell will be on, and I'll probably be online more than I should. I think I'll make a horrible adult. But we'll see.

Oodle, Olie. Oodle, Olie. Golly, what a day!

  • "March of the Penguins" made me cry and hope for a better world.

  • SO, things that have happened recently:

    *Fought with Jason

    *Casey and I broke up

*Went to California Adventure with Ashlyn and Jessica

    *Swooned over unattainable things

    *Made up with Jason

    *Made French Memo Boards

*Got addicted to 3 online comics (The Seraph Inn, Order of the Stick, Scary Go Round)

*Had a wonderful dream that I was a princess of a land called Sylar

    *Made friends with Jason

*Saw the Disney Electrical Parade and cried

*Heard that Peter Jennings died and cried

*Talked to my new roommate (Zara Khan!)

*My cat almost died... and I cried... again

    *Got a black eye tonight...

  • Antigone: Terrorist or Freedom-Fighter?

  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory AND Harry Potter all in ONE DAY!? ~drools~ Geek Orthodox overload for PiPette!

Anyway, CatCF was the best movie I've seen in the theatre in a long while... yes, I did in fact cackle like the WWotW (I'll get you my pretty!), but I do recommend it. Corpse Bride looks deliciously disturbing as well. But the thought came to me that I would be seeing it (As well as Wallace and Grommit! NOOO!) without the luxury of my best friends. That was a weird thought. I almost choked on my Wonka Runts (TM) at the time!

Harry Potter party was spectacular. I've never spent so much time in that store (from 4-1 AM) and I came out with several goodies. New book bag w00t! And I'm already immersed in Half-Blood Prince (ooh, I think I know who it is!! This excites me. I need to talk to someone before we actually find out so I can talk about it ^_^)!!! I had a wonderful time and props to Roxann, Casey, Amber, Ashlyn, Ben, Holly, Rachel, Connie, James, Robert, and all the other cool people I ran into that remind me that the world is not totally lost when there are other Geeks who will hide in the Romance section just to get Book 6 *and a LiveStrong Harry Potter wristband!*

"As You Like It" performs tonight. I shouldn't expect anyone to come, so I won't. It's kind of sad that I don't even go out afterwards because I know that no one will be there to greet me afterward. Oh well. I guess it's what I get. See you all later!

The wisdom of the Great Puhfloflo blesses you...

  • Ah, new look. Different. If you can't read it, get over it.

Did you know that "Jessica" is a name Shakespeare made up for his play "The Merchant of Venice." I think it's wonderfully ironic. Jessica was the wealthy, beautiful daughter of a Jewish Merchant. She's on my profile. This makes me pleased.

  • Today I'm going to talk about some things that make me happy:

*Watching movies with my mum (She introduces me to so many random things... like pseudo-medieval 80's movies coughLadyHawkcough!)

*Trying to eat chipotle (sp??) flavored rice while typing (although the food itself isn't a fantastic experience)

*Waking up at noon and realizing I've wasted away another day

*Getting a comment from Rona because I miss her A LOT!

*Having the best non-real cousin in the WHOLE WORLD!! I love you Ashlyn :) You make my heart smile and make me feel silly for being such a ~puts on hat~ Drama Queen about my performance! bleh! We're in this together, Babe! More explanations and devotionals in a later dedicational post, teehee

*Not ending each bullet with a punctuation mark, but punctuation the rest of the bullet

    *Short hair

*FINALLY getting swept off my feet as the man of my (ok Rosalind's... close enough!) dreams carries me off into the distance... soooooo romantic

*Being a soppy-sappy-silly-hopeless-romantic deep down inside (I think of myself like an M&M or a Charms lollypop or a Tootsie Roll Pop, hard and caustic on the exterior with a gushy sweet interior)

*4 more days until Harry Potter comes out (not counting today)

*Using parenthesis in many of my bullets! w00t

*Funny dreams... more on that later

    *Sweet smelling hair spray

    *Kitschy dorm room shtuff

*Typing with my fingers on the correct keys

    *Milkshakes and Malts and Floats

    *Little Richard

    *Explosions of frustration from Johnson

*Make-out corners that aren't really even corners

*Harry Potter's birthday is July 31 and I think we should have a party!

    *Ceramics

    *England (and Europe in general)

*My opposites don't hate me! w00t. Gosh, I'm so paranoid :)

    *A.E. Housman

    *Peanuts ®

*Making shirts with Holly and Lizzy

*Coffee, and Cheese, and Richmond (all things I associate with Lizzy)

*The fact that Casey's been text messaging me, but I can't find my cellphone! oops :)

*Finding random wireless connections in my house (weird)

*Wearing my Oxford University shirt even though it's too small because it shrunk (even if wearing it means I have to wear a tank under it and it's like 99.999999 degrees outside)

*The people that keep RTF going but aren't thanked enough for their hard work

*The fact that EVERYONE is coming to see me perform!!! I have reasons why all of you should come too, so hit me up. Go to www.rtfseason.org for all the info on dates (As You Like It opens tonight!! I'm sure it's not sold out, so ~shrug~)

    *The random RTF website

*The people that keep me going but aren't thanked enough for their hard work!!! mwah!

*That now there's a Gaming "currently" on Xanga (good job guys!)
